SPIRITUAL FOOD 4 THOUGHT: TO ANSWER A FOOL... OR NOT?
A horrible contradiction in the Bible?
Proverbs 26:4 and 26:5 are often used as supposed evidence to prove that the Bible contradicts itself. At a glance, this may seem to be true, but what do they actually say, and what do they actually mean?
In this video I scratch the surface of this subject, and in the next one, I'll provide an interesting example of how I like to put this into practice.
Hi @papa-pepper bless you for keeping the faith.
They say " silence is the best answer given to a fool.
Also my favorite, "It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt".
That was Mark Twain.
THANK YOU! I never remember who said it! Though I really should since I love the quote so much....
I always thought it was Abe Lincoln...
It very well could go back even farther but so many terms and phrases originated in obscurity then became known. At least the older terms that didn't have instant communication available in their inception. People seem to attribute common ones to known people most of the time but those people were just repeating a saying they heard from someone else.
Life is a big game of telephone.
true a fool always has answer for everything so i think is the silence the best answer
Makes sense. ..the difference of those two. Thanks @papa-pepper
