SPIRITUAL FOOD 4 THOUGHT - WOULD HAVING AN "OLD EARTH" MAKE JESUS CHRIST A LIAR?

Jesus vs. "Old Earth?"

"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." Genesis 1:1 That said, when was mankind created? Well, according to the Word of God, Jesus Christ, who was also there in the beginning (see John 1:1), "he which made them at the beginning made them male and female," (Matthew 19:4).

If the world was somehow millions or billions of years older than when mankind was created, Jesus Christ would be a liar. Any questions? If so, please leave your comments below.

Another good point for Bible believing Christians is in regards to sin.

Sin comes from Adam and Eve disobeying God and eating the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. And from Sin, death. What is called The Fall is a result of Man's sin. The Fall resulted in death, thorns, hardship, etc.

The supposed fossil record... The viewpoint that sees the record showing millions of years, shows death and destruction. Thorns and pain. Dinos killing other dinos. But that couldnt have happened before Sin. So any Bible believing person cant accept evolution. The fossil record (or the majority of it) likely came from the Global Flood. Which was after the Fall, and when sin was already in the world.

And finally, 95% of classroom evolution is actually natural selection. Natural selection is verifiable and factual. But it is working in the opposite direction of evolution. Natural selection is a loss of information within an animal or plant population over time, due to local pressure. It results in outward changes...but not in an internal or genetic increase in information. This is opposite to "molecules to man" explanation of evolution. Yet, in most education, natural selection is used to prove evolution. This is contradictory and stupid.

Peace

Sin also comes from Gen 6:1-4 and even greater sin than recorded in Gen 3. The Gen 6 sin is not man's fault. Gen 3, in fact, is a result of Gen 6:1-4. These entities were around pre-Adamic.
The earth/universe, etc, existed before the 6000 years of mankind's existence. However, scientism falsifies data. Evolution has never been proven. Fossils can be created in weeks, rather than millennia, especially under stress conditions such as earthquakes, floods, etc. Most of what we have been taught about history, geology, politics, are indeed lies.

Investigate the STATE OWNED Smithsonian Institute, who are hiding significant knowledge from humanity.

The rabbit hole is deep.
The Bible is true and proper science confirms Biblical statements. There is not a single fact in the Bible that is unscientific. Not one. For example, the oldest book in the Bible, The Book of Job, already states that the earth is a sphere, rotating in a universe. It states that the heavens are folding. It talks about dimensions. It is so a wonderful account to leave any honest scientist in awe and realize that they should take the Bible seriously.

@papa-pepper I would LIke to Know The Truth of Our Earth One Day. I am Not going to go into what the Shape of the Earth is here in Your Comment Section I am Just grateful for God and His Son Jesus Christ Who Gave HIs Life and Blood on the Cross to Save a Sinner like me.

This may come as a shock to many people, but Jesus didn't write the Bible.

The Hebraic Bible was a collection of text that was held sacred by the people who occupied the land where Jesus was born.

A funny thing about the Hebraic Bible is that it appears that people were adding and removing text from the thing up until the Greeks at the Library of Alexandria translated the book into Greek making changes impossible.

The idea that the Bible says the earth is just 6,000 years old was put together by some pundit who made the questionable assumption that the genealogy listed in the Bible must be continuous and complete.

Even with modern tools, most people today have a hard time calculating their genealogy back a few generations.

Think about it. The person who made the 6000 year claim assumed that people in a per-literate society must have been able to keep a complete and continuous genealogy from before the invention of writing.

What people do is take a questionable interpretation of text that was written hundreds of years before Christ by some blowhard that came along some millennia after Christ to claim that Christ said the world was 6,000 years old.

Interestingly, the New Testament tells people to ignore the genealogies. Here are two quotes:

Titus 3:9 ESV

But avoid foolish controversies, genealogies, dissensions, and quarrels about the law, for they are unprofitable and worthless.

1 Timothy 1:4 ESV

Nor to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies, which promote speculations rather than the stewardship from God that is by faith.

The Christian Bible actually says that these endless genealogies are a waste of time indicating that Christians and probably Christ-himself didn't put any store in the genealogies used to create the 6000 year old story.

Hmm... but the genealogies in question are not "endless" and they are continuous... interesting.

As for Jesus not writing the Bible, I was just pointing to what He was recorded as saying, and making a point based on that.

There's no rational reason why an old earth would make Jesus a liar. Jesus speaks only of the beginning of mankind. All the scientific evidence points to an earth billions of years old. There's no evidence whatsoever for an earth 7,000 years old. I don't see how you can take a completely literal interpretation of the creation account.

I don't see how you can take a completely literal interpretation of the creation account.

Not that you ever reply to anyone who replies to your comments, but why would you not believe someone can take the creation account literally? You seem to take many other parts of the Bible literally, so why not Genesis?

Good thought here...my Bible does say in 2 Corinthians 5:21 "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." So this means He can't be a liar and what He said is true!

2 Peter 3:3-7
3 knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, 4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” 5 For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, 6 by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. 7 But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
