It Felt Like Real Life

I had an awesome dream today! One that I remembered immediately when I woke up. Lately I've been struggling with dream recall.

Even when I did remember my dreams, it only happened after some time when I was awoke. I couldn't remember much and it wasn't vivid at all.

But... This morning I had an extremely vivid dream!

I woke up naturally after 5 hours of sleep and I stayed awake for 5 minutes. Then I went back to bed and just focused on what I see, hear and feel for 10 minutes.

Then I fell asleep later.

I actually almost fell asleep on my back, which NEVER happens, because I find this position extremely uncomfortable. For me to fall asleep on my back I must be super tired.

And I mean physically tired, so my body would simply shut off when I'm in bed. This time I was just sleepy, because I just woke up. But, I didn't fall asleep on my back, because later it got quite uncomfortable, but I was really close.

Also, I will be taking Dream Leaf today, and hopefully I'll become lucid in the morning. I have 2 blue capsules and 3 red ones left.

I'll take 2 blue and 2 red capsules. Tomorrow I will take the last red capsule 4 hours before I go to sleep (as instructed on the bottle).

I'm not going to buy another bottle, because I feel like it might've impacted my dream recall a bit negatively in the long run. I'm not sure about it, but I always had a great recall before I started taking Dream Leaf.

Stranger Friends

My dream begins when I was in an event. I can't recall what was the event or what I was doing there, but I only remember when I was going home from it.

It was dark and I was walking down a street that I know. I saw a guy and then there were 2 girls not too far away from him.

He started talking to those girls and then he asked me where I'm going. I showed the direction that I'm going and he said, "Hmm, I guess I should go there as well".

I asked if he lives there, and he said yes, but he wanted to go where the girls are going. So, he just offered the girls to come with us and they agreed.

All 4 of us were talking a lot while we were walking. At one moment, I had a phone in my pocked and one of the girl's asked me what's that.

I didn't know that I even have the phone, so I took it out and she told me it's her phone! I told her that I didn't take it, but she thought I was just playing around with her.

Later, I had another phone in my pocket and I was really confused about it. I took the phone out and it turned into a big tablet!

Then, the dude offered to come inside his house, so we did. When we got in, we just got into a huge bed and watched TV....

Later, his mom came back so he told us to dress up and get out quickly. The girls got out very fast and I was dressing up for a long time.

When I was about to leave, I asked when did the girls leave. And he told me that they left 10 minutes ago... I was like, "Oh, so I won't catch up with them".

But he told me that I could catch up with them if I hurried. He went with me to help me out, LOL. We started running, but it was sooooo hard to run.

It was a weird feeling. I was running, but almost as if I didn't move forward at all. Like something was dragging me down.

The guy found the girls and I was really close behind him. I was about to approach the girls, but I woke up!

I immediately thought, "Damn, that was an amazing dream". I know, it might not sound so amazing when I write it down here, but the point is, it was uber realistic.

It felt like real life. It's probably, because I was really aware. I even asked myself quite a few times, "Could this be a dream?".

But for some reason, I just didn't do reality checks, because I didn't believe this could be a dream.

I even looked at the mirror when I was in the house and my face looked completely normal. My hair was weird though... I should've realized at this moment that I'm dreaming.

Still, I hadn't had such a vivid dream in a long time.

Some Dream Interpretations

Doing dream interpretations is a great way to get more immersed into the dream world. I don't necessarily believe the interpretations.

First, I was walking down a road. What could this possibly mean? Here's what I've found:

Walking in a dream may suggest that you are making slow and steady progress towards reaching your goals in life or in finishing a project; or may suggest you are confident and without fear in where you are going and what you are doing in life. (Source)

Well, just like most interpretations, some positive stuff is slowly happening, blah blah blah. I guess it's great to see such interpretations, because it can help you think more positively and expect great things to happen.

Next, I was running towards the girls by the end of my dream. What could that possibly mean? Here's what I've found:

If you were running towards something positive- then you might be heading on the right track towards a specific goal in your waking life. It could be symbolic of your ambition and your keenness to confront things on- even more so if something is running towards you and you don’t turn around and flee.

Well, it's hard to do an interpretation on this one, because most interpretations focus on running AWAY from something, not towards.

I can't say if I was running towards something positive or not, because I was just running towards 2 girls that I wanted to talk with, but the dream ended before I could do that....

I'm ending this post here. At the end of each post I'll include my first post (down below) about this journey as it explains why and how I'm doing this! (Full Post Here)

I Will Be Doing This Every Day!

The main reason I want to start lucid dreaming, is for self improvement.

I've been reading a lot about it and studies have shown that you can actually improve certain abilities by doing it in your dreams.

For example, if you wan't to learn a foreign language, you can practice it in your dreams. Since you're working with your subconscious mind while you're sleeping, you might find out that you know words that you were never aware of while conscious.

It's really all up to your creativity to what you wanna learn and improve upon in your dreams. Is it basketball that you want to become better at? You can do that!

Do you want to become a better fucker? Nobody is holding you back! Just make a nasty slut appear in front of you and do whatever you want with her!

Apparently while sleeping, the neural pathways engaged in the activity are strengthened, and not only imagined or visualized.

To achieve lucid dreaming, a lot of action has to be taken. Well... Some find it really easy to lucid dream, but most have to achieve it the hard way.

It's really important to think about lucid dreaming throughout the day. This way you're telling your subconscious mind that this is what you're focusing on and what you want, thus it gives you the access to control the dream world.

There are quite a few things I will be doing in order to achieve this goal!

  1. So, first of all, I will be posting my whole lucid dreaming journey here on Steemit every day.

  2. I will be writing down all of my dreams on a journal. A dream journal is basically essential if you want to achieve lucid dreaming.

  3. I will do at least 30-50 reality checks every day.

  4. Have a sleeping rhythm. That means I will be going to sleep at the same time every night. I'll also wake up at the same time every morning as well.

  5. I will also experiment with some techniques to induce lucid dreams.

  6. I won't look at any screens (computer, TV or even phone) 30-60 minutes before bed, because I've read that this helps a lot. For those 30-60 minutes I will be meditating.

  7. Talk, read and think about lucid dreaming constantly.

  8. Occasionally I will listen to lucid dreaming binaural beats and hypnosis.

  9. I will use an app called Awoken. This app is designed to help you achieve lucid dreaming. It reminds you to do reality checks throughout the day and it has a dream journal, which is where I will be writing down all my dreams when I wake up.

  10. I will experiment with the supplement called Dream Leaf, I already ordered it and I will use it when it arrives. I will take it only once or at most twice every week to see if it changes anything about my dreams and the ability to become lucid.

Tracking All My Progress!

So, like I've mentioned before, I will be tracking all my progress and I'll be posting about it every day here on Steemit.

Also, after I achieve lucid dreaming, I won't stop posting about my experiences for some time still.

When I achieve my goal, I will be writing down a lot of experiences that I have inside the dream world, and I'll experiment if it's actually possible to improve real life skills while sleeping.

I set a personal goal to achieve lucid dreaming within 30 days starting today. I'm really excited and hopefully I'll be able to do that even faster than 30 days!

This is not the first time I try to achieve lucid dreaming, but I never took it seriously and I was too inconsistent, so I never even came close to becoming lucid.

But this time I'm gonna SMASH it and record the whole journey on this blockchain!

UPDATE: I achieved lucid dreaming for the first time on day 12

Just yesterday I reached that state where I woke up yet my entire senses where still in the dream state. So in the dream suddenly the phone rang, and then I woke up here yet the phone still continued ringing exactly like that. It lasted only for about three seconds. But this is very funny. The first time I had that some years ago I had quite some fear but now I know it is merely my mind's lagging adjustment from astral to physical. :)

Haha, cool experience. Sometimes stuff like that happens. It's quite rare for me, but it's weird when it does happen. Waking up still hearing things or still kinda in a dream state, but also awake.
