in #sport6 years ago

Watching the World Cup with tension turned out to bring other impacts besides quarreling because of a shouting.

One example is experienced Argentine football legend, Diego Maradona. The 57-year-old is reportedly suffering from high blood pressure after watching Nigeria's match against Argentina.

He catapulted many curses, probably due to a goal from Marcos Rojo in 86 minutes that brought Nigeria to qualify.

The other news about watching the world cup also came from Apple's smart watch device. Apple Watches users receive warning notifications of spikes in their pulse when they await a penalty shootout.

Another shocking news then came from Egypt. An Egyptian football commentator reportedly died of a heart attack after his country lost its last World Cup match against Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, a 56-year-old Chinese supporter from Germany suffered a heart attack in Hubei. He suffered a heart attack after witnessing a surprise loss from his side on June 17th. Lucky conditions stabilized after being hospitalized.

The question arises, whether the heart attack occurred due to World Cup matches? A study recorded in the Canadian Journal of Cardiology found that the pulse rate increased 75 percent when watching hockey matches on television, and up 110 percent when watching it live.

Suddenly increased blood pressure is not the only concern that fans of the ball need to pay attention to. In addition to research in Canada, a Brazilian study conducted during the four seasons of the World Cup showed that the incidence of heart attacks increased during the final game.

A Heart Expert Consultant from Mount Elizabeth Hospital Singapore Dr Dinesh Nair said the condition was mounting when Brazil against other countries. In Germany, 47 percent of some 4,000 patients were treated for heart attacks when the German team played in the 2006 World Cup.

The New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) study said patients had a history of coronary heart disease. "The NEJM study says watching World Cup games weighed more than double the cardiovascular risk," said Nair. England also experienced similar things.

Acceptance of heart attack patients increased during the 1998 World Cup. Even the number rose 25 percent when Britain must fight penalties with Argentina.
