Bonato leads Rallye Le Touquet after day one

Yoann Bonato is in the lead of Rallye Le Touquet after first full day of competition. Don't forget that Bonato is Citroen works driver and he has all the factory support he really needs.

There is another ex Citroen works driver - Stephane Lefebvre - I used to write about him here about a year and half ago, when he was part of that Citroen squad in 2017.

Lefebvre is 6th at the moment after being 2nd after first loop of stages and fighting for the top spot. I red somewhere that he was complaining about his cars's problems so we know at least that he didn't go off somewhere, only car trouble.

I don't know if he has some support from Citroen or is it only full private entry from him.

It's interesting to see three VW Polo R5 cars in the top 4, and with only 5s behind a leader. This only shows us that VW made really great R5 car and very competitive also.

We still have eight more special stages on tomorrow's program so anything can happen.

Seb Dommerdich is currently in 16th position with Peugeot 208 R5 entry and slow times from special stages. He had puncture on first stage already. We will follow his progress until the end of the rally.
