Citroen started testing on gravel for 2019 with Ogier and Lappi

Season 2018 has just finished and guys from Citroen already started with testing for a new one. The reason is bad results from this season with only one win - that one in Catalunya.

They have to progress and they have to do it quickly. They are the last team on results leader board and now they have completely new line up with sex-times WRC champ Ogier and a new comer Finn Lappi who came from Toyota works team.

I would say they have pretty good combo with drivers but development of the car is crucial. The have to invest in the sport more and to test more. Also driver's line up from the previous season wasn't best. But now they have resolved problem with that.

They say - you can not expect results without investments into drivers. They had really good opportunity to sign Ogier a few years ago but they were cheap and you can't go with that if you want to be the best. You just have to invest in you and your team if you are doing something.

With some effort they could have top results again in the future because parts of the puzzle are coming into right places.

I found some photos from yesterday's test by Dario Bento and I would say it was in Portugal. Photos are not in best quality but we have an inside in what they are doing at the moment. And they started to prepare at the right time, I would say.
