Tanak leads WRC Wales Rally GB after day one

It is nothing new in the World Rally Championship because Toyota is back on the top after short glory of Citroen in Turkey, Toyota's colors are back in the 1st place with their best driver at the moment - Estonian Ott Tanak.

Another Toyota's driver Kris Meeke has been leader for the most of day but Tanak grabbed the lead in the night special stages because you need something special to be fastest in the dark. I would say that driver needs extra courage and boost in the dark and fog. O

But what is impressive is that gap between top 5 drivers is very close. Top 4 drivers are in 8.4s and in rallying it is not big advantage.

Don't forget that these drivers drive on mud of Wales where they can spin or have a puncture just like this. So anything is possible.

I am very pleased to see tha pace of Citroen and we can say that they improved in the last few months (not on tarmac).

Tomorrow is another day and everything is open until the finish line.
