Tom Cave ready for WRC Wales Rally

Welsh WRC2 class driver Tom Cave tested these days his Hyundai i20 R5 rally car in his native country of Wales on the roads very similar to the conditions of the rally itself.

If anyone knows this roads well, Cave knows them like his pocket and that's his advantage.

But there is a fact not in his favor and that's his car Hyundai i20 R5 which is currently the slowest R5 WRC2 class car at the moment.

Škoda, Volkswagen, Ford and even Citroen are much faster cars in the class but what is the biggest problem of Hyundai?! It is a weak engine that lacks power. The traction itself isn't enough if the engine needs more bhp under the bonnet. It's completely clear.

What to expect from Cave?
I would expect from him a clear rally without silly mistakes because there's nothing to prove with that car. He can overdrive and make a shunt. And that's not what he wants for sure.

It's hard not to get emotional when you are in the car and things aren't go the you want. Frustration is bad thing and I know it by myself.

So he needs a calm and clear but fast approach to finish it in the top 5 in the class because he can hardly beat Škodas which are so fast and reliable cars at the moment.
