The José Amalfitani Stadium or Vélez Sarsfield Stadium, popularly known as El Fortín, is a sports stadium located in the Liniers neighborhood, at the west end of the city of Buenos Aires. Normally, football matches are played at the stadium. It is owned by Club Atlético Vélez Sarsfield, whose first team plays its matches on a local basis. As of 2016, it is also the headquarters of Jaguares, the Argentine franchise that participates in the Super Rugby. Also one of the official headquarters of the Argentina Rugby Team, called the Pumas, for their official matches of The Rugby Championship and when they play local test matches.

It began to be built in 1947, and was inaugurated four years later, on April 22, 1951. It has been one of the host stadiums of the 1978 World Cup, and the scene of endless sporting events, Musical, political and religious. Due to the constant maintenance of its facilities, the amenities it offers, its location and accessibility, among other qualities, it is considered one of the best stadiums in Argentina, and one of the first options for the realization of events of great relevance.
