We’re more than half-way through the 2017 NFL season and several users are beginning to stand out.

It was another close finish in Week 9 of the WTA contest. There were six contestants with 5 – 0 records and another ten that finished at 4 – 1 for the week. The Monday night game between the Lions and Packers ended with 47 total points scored. The closest contestant to that total was @old-guy-photos, who guessed 48 points for the first tiebreaker. Since no other contestant was within one point of the game total, he took home the victory in Week 9!

So, congratulations to @old-guy-photos for the big win!

The pot for the weekly contest was 33 SBD. The rewards for the winner have been transferred and you can verify the transfer in my Steem wallet.

A note about using multiple accounts for my contests

I've been watching the submissions for my contests for some time now and haven't had too many issues with a user posting from a second account. However, I have recently been watching submissions coming in from what appears to be the same person. I haven't had any rules about using multiple accounts in the past, but the time has come to begin enforcing this as much as possible. So, on that note...

If I suspect that you are entering one of my contests with multiple accounts, then I will disqualify each of the suspected accounts from that contest. If it happens more than once, then I will blacklist all of your accounts permanently from my contests. Enforcement has already begun.

It's unfortunate that a few people have decided to try to gain an unfair advantage by creating/farming accounts for these purposes. I will always do my best to ensure that my contests remain competitive and fair for everyone and I will coordinate with other contest hosts to share information on the violators. Thank you to those users who spoke up about the issue and are helping to gather information to correct it.

Contest Rules

1 – Contestants must choose one winner for each of the selected games. Contestants can only enter one weekly submission per account. The use of multiple accounts may result in disqualification and permanent blacklisting. Submissions must be entered prior to the first scheduled game time. LATE SUBMISSIONS OR EDITS MADE TO SUBMISSIONS AFTER THE START OF THE FIRST GAME WILL BE DISQUALIFIED FROM THE CONTEST – NO EXCEPTIONS.

2 – Contestants must choose point totals for each of the Monday and Sunday night games. If there are two or more contestants with the same amount of correct picks for the week, then the contestant closest to the game point totals will be the winner. Monday night games will be the first tie-breaker and Sunday night games will be the second tie-breaker. (For the weeks when there are not one game being played on each night, special tie-break rules will be mentioned and applied.) If contestants are still tied after the tie-breakers have been applied, then the contestant who submitted their picks first will be the winner.

3 – The weekly Winner-Takes-All records of contestants will accumulate throughout the regular season to determine a WTA season winner. TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE SEASON CONTEST, CONTESTANTS MUST PARTICIPATE IN A MINIMUM OF SEVEN (7) WEEKLY WTA CONTESTS. Contestants that have four (4) or more identical selections (picks and points) of other users will not be eligible for the season contest. The three (3) contestants with the best season records will share the season pot, divided as follows:

At the end of the regular season, I will announce a potential playoff contest for a minimum of 8 top contestants throughout the season. The potential playoff format and rules have not been determined at this time, so watch for future updates.
