That's A Wrap On Week 5

Boom baby, and week 5 of the NFL season has concluded. What a wild week of matches. We have some exciting matchups to breakdown, so let's dive right in and see what happen to our 12 league franchises. I think all of us are in for some surprise outcomes.

Week 5

Bacchist vs The Potheads

Weeeeee, The Pot Heads blew out Team Bacchist. It helped that Team Bacchist had multiple 0 point starters. The Pot Heads played a good game, which could have been slightly better had they started McCaffrey, but still it was a good showing. I hate to say it, but with a 1-4 record, time may be running out on Team Bacchist.

Lucksacks vs The Pink Socks

The second matchup in week 5 was a whopper. Both teams played quite well, and The Pink Socks took the win with a better than expected showing. It all came down to the beast mode games from starting QB DeShaun Watson and starting RB Melvin Gordon both totaling over 60 points. The Lucksacks sadly picked up another loss despite a decent showing. The Lucksacks are now 1-4 and will have to face an opponent that doesn't bring their best game each week. Either that, or figure out a way to score no less than 160+ points each week.

BlitzRix vs Smokin' Moons

BlitzRix came away with the victory in this week 5 matchup with help from starting QB Carson Wentz, and starting WR Antonio Brown, both totaling over 50 points. Smokin Moons were surprisingly handed their first loss of the season. The loss had a lot to do with a less than good effort from a handful of his players. Mainly two RB, and two WR who scored a combined total of 14 points. Whether this was a fluke for Smokin' or the new norm...we will have to wait and see.

Waffles-N-Syrup vs Daut44

Our fourth matchup of week 5 had worse than average performances from both franchises. Waffles-N-Syrup was able to capture the win with good showings from RB Duke Johnson and WR Dez Bryant. Nothing spectacular by any player on his roster, but enough to win. Daut44 had an even worse showing from his players. Only able to put up a total of 70 points, the coach will have to examine his lineup if he wants to recover some losses from this season.

Stargate Worlds vs Cloud Crushers

This matchup of week 5 was a total surprise. I don't think many people saw Stargate coming up with a win, we knew it was possible but not likely. Well, Stargate made it likely...He came away with a win due to great games from QB Alex Smith, and the sleeper RB Jerick McKinnon, both players totaled over 50 points. Cloud Crushers was handed his second loss of the season. Most of that blame lies on a poor showing from a starting WR, and a starting RB. It also seems he did not play with a full line up. Hopefully next week the same mistake is not made.

The Kebab Kings vs Missiontothemoon

There isn't much to say about sixth and final matchup of week 5, except, the Kebab King drove to the wrong stadium, and sold the wrong team all his kebab meat, so he didn't play this week. Mission, had a spectacular game and improved his record to 5-0.
