Suns making History

in #sports6 years ago

We set the all time most 40 point loss record this year, but it all might have just paid off. First time in history we will pick Numero Uno. 0998c5aa-413b-4b0e-b05a-d1ae55b36cb4_27151_tablet_landscape_large_16_9.jpg

With the tank a thon in full swing, the Suns won the Lotto and will select number 1. I did not want to get my hopes up as I thought we would be selecting number 3. But the big loser of the night was Memphis with the second worst record, they some how fell out of the top 3 to get the forth overall pick. Let the conspiracy theories start, as a big California market took the number 2 pick. I am excited but nervous, now I just hope we don't get a Greg Oden/Kevin Durant situation going here. With us picking a bust and the number 2 pick well being a superstar.

I wonder what they'll do with it. I think they were an exciting team to watch this year because of their young talent. I thought Alex Len would make strides this year but if they draft big I think it's over for him. I don't think they can make a huge mistake if they keep the pick. Durant was the totally safe pick but the idea of Oden was a better fit for Portland. There are at least 4 solid picks at the top of the draft. After that I would trade down because it will be all luck from that point on. I don't think they will trade the pick because the guy from Zona or the guy from Slovenia make a lot of sense for the team. Can't wait til the draft. should be an exciting night.

Funny you bring up Alex Len, a buddy of mine and I had a bet about him. I was mad suns passed on Noel, and he said Len would have a better career. Looks like we were both wrong. I believe our bet will be a push. Ya and by better fit for Portland you mean not possible the best player in basketball. Haha That was as bad as my Cardinals picking Levi Brown over Adrian Peterson.

I think Len can have a fresh start and be a great bench player if he stays healthy. He shows flashes of greatness sometimes. I always use him on waivers in Fantasy Basketball. He seems to have 2 shitty games followed by one great stat game. If he was backing up Cappella at Houston he would be 10 and 10 guy if healthy. As for the Cardinals, RB are hard to draft. Most of the success is in the system and every 5 years or so a great back comes a long. Its a tough call. Where did you accumulate all your steem. I would love to have as much voting power as you one day lol. I think steemit is so fun. Would love to be able to have valuable votes to give to my followers. I'll get there I suppose

Len is very young, but he also is at a position that seems to be fading away as a typical big man. Most big men now are super athletic, and can shoot the 3's. He needs to work on his skills, because if you can score you will always have a spot, but look at Tristan Tompson. I feel he is a huge liability to the cavs. The guy can barely score in the paint, and it shows. He doesn't play some games, and ya you can say he has defense, but if he was not on a team with lebron he would not play at all. In my opinion. Also on the steem power, I bought like 10k when it was just under a buck. Then I have powered every thing up.

The cavs were a client of mine for the past 3 seasons. I made the JR Smith tattoo shirt (maybe you've seen it). I know Tristan's game and you are right but he can provide muscle. I was shocked at the contract he got. I think with the right players around him Len can be good. If he played with Lebron it would be rebound, block and pass. Time will tell on him and that's awesome you got steem so low. When I joined I didn't understand how it worked and when I started paying attention the prices were in the high 3's lol. But you took a risk and has paid off so far. That must be a great feeling. I mined bitcoin in 2013 and it was so flat for so long I sold and moved on. Who knew lol?

Looks like DeAndre Ayton will be the pick. It would be great if a player who played his college ball at Arizona became an NBA legend for the Phoenix Suns.

That would be awesome, but I watch him play this year. He was unstoppable some games, and then was like did he even play this game? By that I mean he did disappear a couple of times so he just needs to be consistent.

I can't remember a draft that was more stacked than this. By far my favorite part of the night was when the Cavs did not miraculously end up with the number one over all pick. I guess the NBA is ready for LeDouche to head to another market.

Congrats on landing the #1 pick. The NBA is usually not like the NFL. Teams don't do as much wheeling and dealing. But I wonder if this year is the exception. The Suns could traded down a few slots and still get their number 1 target. I guess it all depends on who that is.

Haha, you really think LeDoche will go to another market? I don't know if he will go outside of the East. The west is so loaded, he might never see the finals again. What happened to competing, if you can't beat them join them is the new motto. Just not fun to watch.

Yeah it is brutal. The fact that taking the easy way out has become the norm is sickening. I would be shocked if he went back to Cleveland.

Philly is the easiest path so that would be a good guess. But if he no longer cares about championships, he could go to L.A. to continue acting. He should already have an Oscar in the category of pretending to be fouled.

40 point loss record, that isn't a good start for the year

They fired the head coach like the second week of the Season.

That shows he lacks the skills to put the team in the right direction which will push them to victory

Ya, but it was only like 6 games into the season, at that point you should have fired him before the season started.

Good luck on your side.

Good luck my friend, may the best contestant win in this game of millions, that’s what I call basketball games. Games of millions

Ahhh, the poor Suns!! It would be nice to see some return to the glory days of old. In the NBA all it takes is on bonifide superstar and an good supporting cast. The number 1 pick is a great place to start.

don't nervous bro i pray for you all wish become true

It's is an exciting time to live in Phoenix with the Suns having the #1 pick. I am an Arizona transplant so I can't say I'm a Suns fan, but I do follow the teams moves throughout the year.

My colleague and I have been discussing their options and he is a big Wildcat fan so naturally he loves the idea of them drafting Ayton #1 overall. The kid has an incredible offensive toolkit, silky smooth shot, and uncoachable physical traits, but his defense is "meh" at best.

Luka Doncic feels like the pick to me because of the connection with the new head coach Igor Kokoskov. My biggest concern is he does not have the lateral quickness to effectively defend NBA caliber guards. I could potentially see Phoenix trading the pick if they can manage to stay in the top 3 and have confidence they can still get their guy assuming it isn't Ayton.

This pick could change the trajectory of the franchise for the next 5+ years. For their sake lets hope they get it right.
