So the Lakers made the worst kept secret in basketball official and signed King James on a max 4 year deal to dilute the East even more and bring showime back to LA. The original Showtime Laker Magic Johnson was understandably stoked to announce the biggest free agent signing since Wilt Chamberlain and was quoted as saying 'Today is a great day for the Lakers organization and Lakers fans all over the world to welcome LeBron James, a three-time NBA Champion and four-time NBA MVP,LeBron is special. Where it now puts the Lakers in the jam packed West in terms of playoff seeding or even making it is still open to interpretation. The Warriors somewhat ridiculously when you consider they already had 4 All Stars added a 5th in Demarcus Cousins on a dirt cheap deal which would seem to block Lebrons path through the West and thats even if they managed to add another All Star. The only player left out there who could really sway some power the Lakers way is Kahwi Leonard who is making life hell for the Spurs and demanding a trade. What LA would give up for Leonard is the big question but you would expect the Spurs will want Brandon Ingrham, Kuzma and others on top of draft picks...do you make that trade? A question for another day.
