NBA Western Conference Finals - Rockets vs Warriors - Game 2 - Preview

This game is about as close to a must win Game 2 of a series i have ever seen. If the Rockets drop this and go back to Oakland and the sold out chaotic Oracle Arena down two games to nil they can basically kiss this series good bye as the Warriors are too good at home to take 3 games off.

KD once again is the key for me as he was in Game 1, the Rockets have relied on a high powered offense all season to win games but haven't had to encounter a player of Durants greatness on a night to night basis, as i said in the preview of Game 1 Houston simply dont have anyone that adequately guard Durant (Nor does any team in the League).

James Harden is going to have a huge game for the Rockets to win Game 2, For as much playoff heat as Harden has received over the years, his effort in Game 1 cannot be understated. He was exceptional and most of his mistakes came from trying to do too much. And he was trying to do too much because he had to. He is going to need Chris Paul to come to the party as well and take some pressure off and hope the rest of Houstons role players get hot from down town and limit Golden States 3 point shooting.

It will be interesting to see if Mike D'antoni makes any tweaks to the Rockets D for Game 2, perhaps double teams Durant more, the issue with that is that the Warriors have so many other weapons that can make you pay if left opened. I am going to take Houston in Game 2 as they will be absolutely desperate to win at home, i dont have a lot of confidence in this call but time will tell.
