The Unlikely Winners of NBA Playoffs in Game 1steemCreated with Sketch.

in #sports5 years ago
Playoffs have now started and teams are spicing things up to start their momentum. Statistically, higher ranked teams are most likely to win as they were the teams that performed well during the season. As a matter of fact, last year's playoffs was an example that higher ranked teams are most likely to defeat their opponents in the first round of playoffs.

This time, there was unlikely turn-out of events that made the entire playoffs series more exciting. As lower ranked teams notched their first win of the series. It might not be an assurance that these lower ranked teams continue their hopes on the first round but its a big factor in determining their fate in the playoffs.

Which among the lower ranked teams notched their first win in the playoffs?

Brooklyn Nets 111 - 102 Philadelphia 76ers

D'Angelo Russell lead the Nets in scoring with his 26pts in 29 moments. The former Laker standout is an All-Star in Brooklyn helping the team getting their first win against a star-studded Philadelphia. Will it be another disappointment in Game 2?

Orlando Magic 104 - 101 Toronto Raptors

Orlando is another break-out team this season with them unexpectedly winning their 1st win against Top 2 seed Toronto Raptors. The Kawhi Leonard led team is still in shock after getting their first loss. Though the ball is round, the 1st game of the series is a big factor in deciding the hopes of the team to continue their run in the playoffs. What I'm sure is that Toronto will do their best to tie the series before coming to Amway Center.

San Antonio Spurs 101 - 96 Denver Nuggets

San Antonio has pull-off an upset win over a team that is in their form Denver Nuggets. Well, it's almost difficult to argue San Antonio has established their quality in the last 2 decades. This will be a very exciting series to watch (Aside from how the top teams dominating the league).

Note that in almost a decade, this is the first time to see an NBA playoff without Lebron James, with him in Lakers being in 10th seed at the end of the season.

I actually have no particular team to support this playoffs because I've always been a Bulls fan. It was actually Minnesota but since they're out of the playoffs I think I am rooting for Bucks or Toronto :)

We shall see how this turns out.
