The reason behind my review was not about the Olympic medals and world records that he recorded, but his journey from a village boy to world champion which made his story beyond compare for other athletes. He an active country boy in nature started off playing cricket in his village high school before being spotted by his Physical Education teacher for his raw talent in sprinting. He was inspired to track and field when he watched 1996 Atlanta Olympic and saw Michael Johnson won 2 gold medals for 200m and 400m.

He soon picked up the sport and won all championships locally with the guidance of local high school coach. During his teenage period, he won most of the champipnship without technical training and mostly from his raw talent. Eventually he won the IAAF World Youth Champipnship at the age of 17. Then the world came to notice him. He got offered sports scholarship from various universities overseas especially USA but he signed up for his local College in Jamaica as he was more confortable training at home. Aside from that he admitted that he was a momma boy.

During his college time, he looked up to his fellow countryman Asafa Powell (former world record holder) as his idol. He almost lost his scholarship due to lack of interest in academic study but managed to graduate and fulfil the minimum requirement for th3 scholarchip.. After college time, he decided to go professional and signed up with local club in downtown Kingston. Although he managed to improve but he kept injured himself due to the training was not suitable for him from his first coach.

Soon after Athens Olympic 2004, he fed up with the training system and signed up with the legendary Coach Glen Mills. Usain respected him not only as coach but also as a father. The coach molded him from scratch and hired a physio therapist for him. He also went for treatment in Germany and he was diagnosed with Scoliosis. Despite his injury, coach Mills build a different programme for Usain to strengthen his core and eventually ran even faster.

His favourite event was the 200m but Coach Mills suggested he took another event which was 400m. Usain rejected rhe offer due to the tough training regime. He took up 100m instead. He broke the world record few months Before Beijing Olympic 2008 and broke it again in the Olympics. After 2008 Olympic, he became an icon to the world and his sponsor gave him a BMW Coupe as reward. He admitted that he liked to hangout in clubs and have fun and once tried marijuana but didn't like it.

He had a car accident in 2009 after recorded 9.58 seconds in100m in Berlin. With slight injury, he took a break in 2010 for recovery. 2012 was the year made him a legend status by winning 3 gold medals (100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay) in London Olympics . He almost lost the 3 gold medals before coming back to Jamaica as he misplaced in his bag.

He intended to quit track and field and move to other sports as his body was maturing and it took more gruelsome training to improve his fitness and performance. In his last chapter, he mentioned all the Olympic medals were not important to him but the records and all the moment he had experience were priceless. His records was hard to be broken especially not in his era and he would like to thank all the people for making him not only a true world champion but a Legend.
