Did The Pelicans Purposely Trick The Lakers About Anthony Davis?
There is a fascinating theory of intrigue and conspiracy surrounding the Anthony Davis/LA Lakers rumors. Anthony Davis is a marquee NBA star. He plays for the New Orleans Pelicans. They are a small market team and he is soon to become a free agent.
He shares an agent with LeBron James and has made it clear that he wants to be traded to the Lakers. The trade deadline just passed and Davis was not traded.
Here’s the conspiracy theory: The Lakers have been tampering and the Pelicans are upset about it. The Pelicans may have only pretended to have interest in trading Davis, but actually may have only been doing it to gauge interest in him. The Lakers have leaked many possible trade scenarios to the press. This has shattered team unity and comraderie on the Lakers and increased paranoia and mistrust around the team.
If this was planned, it was genius of the Pelicans. Davis will certainly leave soon but at least the Pelicans are making life difficult for thier competition.

I’m sure that Magic will do something huge to shake things up. McGee and Chandler both have rings and can block shots well. They along with Rondo are going to be very steady down the stretch. I’m disappointed in Ingram. I thought he’d be a good fit with LeBron, but I hope he gets traded now.
