Joseph Maria Bartomeu Ensures Will Not Fire Barcelona Coach
Joseph Maria, who is currently president of Barcelona, has confirmed that he will not dismiss Ernesto Valverde, who currently serves as Barcelona coach. Joseph Maria ensured that whatever results Valverde would get would continue to make Valverde a Barcelona coach.
As quoted from football espana, Joseph Maria Bartomeu said she was very happy with Valverde who yesterday just won the Spanish League for 2 consecutive years. Valverde still has one more chance to give an additional trophy to Barcelona because Barcelona will face Valencia in the Cova Delrey final next week.
Failure to qualify for the UEFA Champion League final according to Barcelona president does not really affect Valverde's position, instead the Club council supports Valverde to stay at the Camp Nou, especially Valverde still has a contract until 30 June 2020.
