FuboTV is a great streaming service for sports lovers!

in #sports5 years ago

Recently I have spent some time on the FuboTV platform, and I have to say that it is an amazing platform for those in love with sports. To many football fans in Euro, the only sport existing is football, and then especially the English Premier League, the Spanish La Liga, and also the Champions League. But, there is much more to sports, even though football might tend to be the most important of them all.

FuboTV is an American streaming service, meaning that FuboTV can only be streamed in the USA. But, as you probably guessed by now, it is very easy to stream FuboTV outside the United States using a VPN.

But, the price of a FuboTV subscription is 45 USD per month. Who would pay that amount of money for a subscription that gives you the chance to watch sports online?

I guess that is a question a typical housewife would ask herself, while her husband looks at her and says: "It is completely worth it!" Maybe you consider 45 USD to be a lot of money (and it sure is), you can still consider it to be cheap if you compare it with the prices of a Sky TV subscription in the UK which will give you access to Premier League football and some other sports, but you will still lack a whole lot of events as well. The same can be said if you compare the price with other TV networks in Europe who will make you pay the same or a little bit less, for a product that is much poorer in variety than the one you get at FuboTV.

Let us not forget, FuboTV isn't only about European football. You can watch Major League Soccer as well (that is, the American football league). But, let me skip the joke... at FuboTV you can also stream all the big events from around the world when it comes to sports. If you love baseball, American football, golf, or maybe you want to watch some winter sports instead? You can stream it all on FuboTV in the United States.

But, that isn't all, and now the housewives will be happy as well! If you sign up for FuboTV, you might very well cancel your subscription to both Hulu and CBS All Access. The reason is simple - you will get access to the same content with your FuboTV subscription as well. You can watch the shows on demand, or you can watch them live as they are on the screen in the United States. The only disadvantage is that you get to see all the commercials as well, and since it is a live broadcast, there is no "no-commercial" version available.

If you decide to watch the programs later, on-demand, it will still be a recording of the actual broadcast, meaning that you will still see the commercials. This might be irritating to some, but at least you get the real TV feeling as you sit in front of the laptop, or maybe as you use your Android device to stream FuboTV.

What I find a bit annoying is that you are mostly incapable of forwarding the recordings as you watch them later. That means, if you watch a football match after it originally aired, you will still not be able to forward the recording to skip the commercials from the "live time." I have tested quite a lot of programs, sports events, and movies, and it seems like a general problem that you have to watch from the start till the end, without any chance to jump here and there. That is a pity!

What's up in the USA?

Another thing that I enjoy at FuboTV is access to live streams from TV networks in the USA. It is a great way to see the news from the different networks the way they portray them, and it is always interesting to compare news the way they are served you in different countries. People share news in such different ways, all depending on where they live and their political view, and thus it can be interesting to watch different newscasts on US TV stations and compare them to what is said about the same events on TV stations in Europe.

FuboTV isn't just about sports - but, still!

So, FuboTV might not be all about sports, but that is still the major profile of the streaming platform. It all started out as a small platform, and I remember having a subscription that cost me 10 USD per month. Then they created a more expensive subscription, and you could choose between the two of them. Today only one package is left, and the price of it is 45 USD. You can add functions and TV networks to this package as well, but most people will have no need to do so.

And yes, FuboTV is an amazing platform if you are a sports lover. And, let us say that you want to watch the Champions League matches between Real Madrid and Ajax tonight, or maybe between PSG and Manchester United tomorrow? You can easily do so on FuboTV, and in the same way, you can watch Europe League matches on Thursday, and then continue with Ligue 1 matches in France on Friday, Premier League matches on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, and all your favorite matches from the top leagues in Europe, whenever they are played.

Now the Major League Soccer is about to have its kick-off in the USA once again. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the biggest star in the league, but can he still keep it up in the 2019/20 season? Or is he getting old and lazy? It will be interesting to see... and of course, you can watch all the action on FuboTV.

Have you ever tried FuboTV? I would love to hear your thoughts about the streaming platform if you have any!
