Red Bull Salzburg wins with a Steemian

Yesterday a Steemian and professional football player led his team closer to the Champions League group phase! Sure you recognised the guy with No. 7 in the photo? No? You should as this is our very own @modernpastor playing with his club Red Bull Salzburg their first leg match against Shkendija Tetovo and won by 3-0 which enables them to make their victory perfect next Tuesday - the Champions League group phase gets closer for the Austrian Champion with its German Steemian. Has anyone ever seen Salzburg play?

About Ray and Red Bull Salzburg

Just in case you international Steemians did not come across him yet here - Ray is a great player and the unusual professional football star. Having played in all youth national teams of Germany with a lot success I am not bothering you with all his milestones as he is better suited to tell them on his own here soon or simply check his profile - @modernpastor - he is a great writer.

What I can say is that Ray is a very open and nice guy, helpful and a great blogger which he proved on Steemit since over one year. He is the type that loves writing and crypto currency - he is modest and I hope to meet him soon in person - fingers crossed.

Red Bull Salzburg is the dominating football club across Austria since years. Last year they eliminated Borussia Dortmund in the Euro League which is a disaster for a German club to lose against Austrians, but it was a deserved win. They play a great modern system and Ray is a huge part of the success.

RB is based in Wals-Siezenheim and they play in their Red Bull Arena. Before Red Bull became official sponsor / owner in 2005, the club was known as SV Austria Salzburg which was founded originally back in 1933. Even before the Red Bull times they have been successful by winning their first championship in 1994, which was the first of three in the span of four seasons. In the meantime Salzburg won twelve league titles and five Austrian Cups.
