Launching to the Finals? or Houston we have a problem

The clash of the titans is finally set, with the match up between 2 of the best teams in the NBA this year, the team with the best record in the regular season the Houston Rockets, against the defending champions, and second seeded Golden State Warriors. Let us recap the first and second round journeys of both of the teams. In the first round the Rockets was up against the Minnesota Timberwolves where they won in 5 games, and in the second round the Rockets eliminated the Utah Jazz also in 5 games. The Warriors meanwhile were matched up with the San Antonio Spurs where they finished the series in 5 games, and in the second round they were matched up against the New Orleans Pelicans where they eliminated them also in 5 games.

With the Rockets beating the Warriors for the best record in the regular season, the Rockets will have home court advantage, Houston will host the Warriors on Tuesday, 15 March 2018 here in the Philippines.

The Western Conference Finals I think will be a tight clash between the two teams, with the acquisition of Chris Paul for the Rockets in the off season, made them a contender this year that took the team to another level. The Golden State Warriors meanwhile retained the core of the team, with just some changes in their bench and role players, during the off season. On paper the Golden State Warriors is the team to beat with 4 all stars in the team Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant, and Draymond Green the team looks unstoppable as of now. While the Rockets is led by James Harden, Chris Paul, and the emergence of Clint Capela having made some fantastic performances through out the playoffs.

In my opinion the Warriors will win this series either in 6 or 7 games, it depends on how they will stop the Warriors, as they look unstoppable at the moment. One thing the Rockets can do is exploit the paint with Clint Capela when the Warriors have their small line up with Green at the 5.

This will be an awesome series, I think the winner of this series will go on to win the NBA Finals.

Predictions

I think it will be another trip for the Warriors this year to the Finals, and they will win it back to back. I cannot see a team able to beat Golden State right now with the talent and players that they have. So my prediction is Warriors in 6 games.
