UEFA Champions League: Barcelona beat Manchester United 1-0
Barcelona takes first leg, and away goal advantage over Manchester United in their Champions League quarter final tie. Barcelona got what they wanted in the first leg a win and a vital away goal at Manchester.
Barcelona won the first leg 1-0 as Luis Suarez's header deflected of Luke Shaw and straight into the net. Luke Shaw gave the visitors a 1-0 lead in the 12th minute with an own goal. United responded well after the own goal, they just could not make it happen in attack where they failed to register a shot on target for the first time since 2005.
United will be in another familiar situation, as in the last 16 tie with PSG. PSG scored 2 goals in Manchester and United produced a great display to overturn the 2 goal away deficit against PSG to progress to the quarter finals. Barcelona will be very wary of this as the second leg will be the deciding match. Will United be able to once again overturn the deficit and progress to the semi-finals? or Barcelona will be holding on and progress to the next stage?
