50 wickets in T20 for Sandeep Lamichhane
Sandeep Lamichhane registered his 50th wicket in his T20 career against Royal Challengers Bangalore in their home ground who were under the captaincy of Virat Kohli. Moen Ali was his 50th wicket for his career. He stumped him out.
A year ago, Sandeep has debut in his T20 career by playing against Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL. In that match, Sandeep made Parthiv Patel as a victim in his lbw. In the previous edition of IPL, he did not have much chances to play the game. Rather than playing, it was an opportunity for him to share the dressing room with one the the best cricketers all over the world. Once, there was no hope for the team to progress in next round, then he got an consolation opportunity to play the remaining matches. The performance which he showed in the remaining matches earned him an spot to be selected among various leagues all over the world.
In this one year duration, Sandeep played IPL (Delhi Capitals), Pakistan Super League(Lahore Kalanders), Big Bash League(Melbourne Stars), Carribean Premiere League(St. Kitts and Neville Patriots), Afghanistan Premiere League(Nangarahar Leoparders), Bangladesh Premiere League(Silyat Sixers). In addition to this, he played four T20s for Nepal while he was a part of World11 team against West Indies in the charity match played this year.
In the previous edition of IPL, he took 5 wickets with the best bowling figures of 3-36. In this edition of IPL, he has already took 5 wickets with the best bowling figures of 2-27. He did not take any wicket while playing for World 11. He gave just 12 runs in 6 overs in that match. In PSL, he took 11 wickets with the best bowling figures of 4-10. In the Big Bash League, he took 11 wickets with the best figures 3-11 with the strike rate of 16.18 and economy of 6.57. In Afghanistan he took 2 wickets with the best bowling figures of 2-23. In the international T20 played for Nepal, he took 5 wickets with the best bowling figures of 2-19. In the West Indies, he took 7 wickets with the best bowling figures of 2-12. While playing for Bangladesh Premiere League, he took 4 wickets with the best bowling figures of 2-16.
He was first bought by Delhi Daredevils in the previous edition of IPL in Indian Rupees 20 lakhs. In that edition, Sandeep played 3 matches for Delhi where he only played 3 matches for Delhi. When DD beat Mumbai Indians, he had the bowling figures of 3/36 with 3 important wickets under his name. He got an opportunity to play under the captaincy of Gleen Maxwell in Big Bash League where his team reached the finals of the tournament. Also, he played under the captaincy of Chris Gayle in St. Kitts where he registered a maiden over in the tournament as well. It is not seen in the tournament usually. He also got a chance to play under the captaincy of Shahid Afridi while playing for World 11.
