While the premier league clubs are done with their pre-season campaigns and are getting reading for the new premier league season campaign, other clubs are still having their ongoing club-friendly actions. It was yet another pre-season match action for Real Madrid as they lock horns against RB Salzburg at the Red Bull Arena, to continue their preparation for the upcoming La Liga season.

Real Madrid haven’t been that great this pre-season in terms of results, and also the new players still need time to fully settle into the squad. However, they are showing very good signs to good things to come when they are fully ready for the new season ahead. Zidane who was recalled back to the club last season to bring back restitution to the club has a huge task ahead of him to replicate the success he brought to the club during his first reign at the club.

RB Salzburg are a very good side and one of the top teams in the Austrian Bundesliga, they have already begun their 2019/2020 season, winning their opening 2 games and are currently in first position on the table. It was a very good game for them against one of the best teams and the most prestigious club in the world.

Brief Post-Match Analyses

It was an amazing atmosphere at the Red Bull Arena Salzburg, with lots fans present to witness the match.

Real Madrid setup in a 3-4-2-1 formation while RB Salzburg on the other hand, setup in their usual 4-4-2 formation. The game began and both teams showing very good intensity in their play. Salzburg had decent chances in the game, but it was Real Madrid who took the early lead, a goal that eventually became the winning goal for the Spanish giant. Salzburg had their moments in the game as well but weren’t able to find the back of the net.

Eden Hazard scored his first goal for his new club and the only goal of the match in the 19th minute, receiving the ball in space, beat his man, found space to release his shot which was too hot for the goalkeeper to deal with. A great goal by the Belgian as lots of expectations are on him to do what he knows how to at the biggest of stages.

Real Madrid are edging closer to getting fully ready for the new season and Zidane will be pleased with the way some of the new players have performed so far, especially Eden Hazard who is showing why they paid huge money to secure his signature. This post can also be found on my scorum blog
