National Team Call-Up A Dream Come True - Emi Martinez

Arsenal second goal keeper, Emi Matinez has called his call-up to the Argentina squad a dream come true.

The skipper who still dreams of being Arsenal's number 1 goal keeper explains his delight in a pre-UEFA league conference with Unai Emery on Wednesday.

Matinez has played two games for Arsenal this season and has kept two clean sheets from the two matches.

The goalkeeper admits that he is in a direct fight with Bernd Leno to be Arsenal's No 1.

When asked about how it felt to be called to the national squad, he said it has been his dream as a young kid to represent his national team.

Marinez believes he is more than ready to play for the national team and considering his loan spell at different clubs, the player is more than capable to represent any team.

The No 1 shirt is not something he can get easily really because Leno is also a world class goalkeeper.

The competition between them is a good one for me because Arsenal is a big club and this type of competition gives room for improvement.

I hope he performs well any time he is given the change to show what he can do. I like Leno very much too because he is a good player.

Hopefully, with this healthy competition we will have a good season.
