Africans players are not as bad as some of us may think just that there are a lot of thing holding African players back from performing exceedingly in the game of football

I think eto'o and Drogba were pretty close at their peak but does nationality really matter that much any more when half of the Belgium Squad and French Squad are made up of Africans, if Hazard or Pogba had to win it, does it mean an African sort of wins it?
Messi and Ronaldo are out of this world and no ones could come close to what they;ve done in recent years. I think crazy exploits like that regardless of nationality would win you the Balon'dor If Aubamayang or Salah scored 45 goals in a season and wins the league and champions league surely you cannot deny them.
African players do have to follow a harder path to Europes Elite but it doesn't mean they're any less talented

Sadly, I think the fact that Messi and Ronaldo have been so dominant for the last however many years has meant that hardly anyone else has had a look in.
I think Salah should have won it last year. Mane is a good call but I think van Dijk has been more influencial so may take it this year. I am hoping for another great season from Salah and Mane for Liverpool and hopefully one of them can go on to win it. Both incredible players.
Yes, you are absolutely right. There is nobody, who can reach it between two living/playing gods Messi and Ronaldo - well if Salah didn't win in his previous season (17/18), he will probably not make it before they both will retire. Maybe his shame was that Liverpool didn't win PL or CHL.
