Today is the day to meet a very different race (even for professional runners)... Are you brave enough to face such an adventure?
# 02. Cheese Race
Traditionally, this sport was done by and for the Brockworth people (a local village), but the sport has attracted people from all over the world mainly because the activity is quite peculiar.
Officially titled The Cooper's Hill Cheese Rolling and Wake, the contest is annual and always takes place in May, at Cooper's Hill, near Cheltenham and Gloucester (in the Cotswolds region, England).
Each event runs several races and all start from the top of a hill. The main objective of each participant is to go down the hill and get one of the cheeses (round shape) that are played by the guests.
The winner is the one who arrives at the bottom of the hill with the cheese in hand (almost always accompanied by a muscle injury or bone fracture), but... Considering the fact that the speed reached by one of these cheese down the hill can reach an impressive 112km/h, this is not a very easy competition to be a champion.

Actually knew about the cheese race already (because it's amazing). I was expecting you to dredge something even more obscure up! Can't wait to see more.
