Thus expressed Ronaldo in an interview with DAZN quoted from Sportskeeda. For the Portugal national team captain, the confidence of the player does not only depend on himself, but also from people around such as teammates and coaches.
Zidane performed that role well, where he was able to make the players feel important and special.
"Zidane helped me a lot. I respect him for a long time but working with him makes me admire him more, just as he is, the way he talks, how he forms a team and how he treats me," Ronaldo said.
"He used to say, 'Cris, take a break, because you will be a player who makes a difference'. He is always honest and for that I remember him," recalls the Ballon D'Or winner five times.
