Very interesting match of the silver category of male volleyball held on Saturday in the Barrio de las Flores, where the local team (a priori a team with the aim of eluding the last places) faced one of the aspirants to promotion, the team of San Sadurniño, recently descended from the top national category.

What at first might have seemed like a match of ample visitor superiority, in practice turned out to be a highly contested match, where the locals began dominating the game and the scoreboard thanks to their defensive solidity and their few mistakes. Thus, they were placed with a 22-18 in their favor, which seemed to decant the first set in their favor. The end of this first Seth was decided by the success in the serve of the visiting players and the doubts of the young local team.

The second set was very similar to the first, where the locals again showed a good level of play, with a solvent reception and a quick attack that visitors could not stop. In this case the last part of the set was controlled by Calasancias, which allowed them to get the set comfortably.

The third set the game was controlled by the visiting team, which imposed its greater effectiveness in the network to control the result and win, before the errors in attack of the home team.

The fourth set was completely dominated by Intasa San Sadurniño, thanks to his good serve and loss of concentration in the reception and attack of Calasancias Coruña.

In summary, this Saturday could see a good game of male volleyball, where Calasancias Coruña demonstrated the positive evolution in their game, their defensive sacrifice and effectiveness in attack, which allows them to consider a good role in the competition that now begins, confirming that the goal of placing out of the relegation positions must be achieved, also leaving good feelings in the audience.
