My featured artist is Mauricio Pommella
Mauricio Pommella is a visual artist who expresses through digital design, graphics and illustrations the expression and communication of ideas, his work focuses on the artistic direction and trend that defines him as an avant-garde artist, his works are mostly for digital and printed use.
He works in a product design studio during the day and at nightfall he goes into his own digital design studio to create his own independent comics projects. He is fond of science fiction and technology by having his stories explore human conflicts, philosophical problems involved in futuristic worlds and people's interpersonal relationships. He lives in Vancouver, Canada, is married and has two daughters.
The works that caught my attention are the following
Hello Sunshine – Comic
It is a Comic that illustrates the experience of the Space Immigrants, who live and work in the solar gardens around the Sun. It illustrates the day to day life of these immigrants through illustrations quite worked but with a great simplicity. A fresh work very easy to digest and that entertains you thanks to the adventures that the characters experience.
Distant Argos – Comic
Distant Argos is the third story in the series that will structure the small Science Fiction anthology entitled Binary Noise. This Comics talks about the adventures of a girl who finds herself with a freighter that is in search of a rare metal with the hope of conquering a fortune and obtaining a better quality of life and living a life full of adventures.
Jupiter’s Effect – Comic
The Jupiter Effect is the fifth story of the small science fiction anthology entitled Binary Noise that Maurice Pommella has created. This story talks about an accident that some travellers have in space near Jupiter's orbit. The ship suffers heavy damage and a pilot manages to stay alive and escape the gravitational attraction of Jupiter.
