Today in the history of sports, the fourteenth edition of the Fifa World Cup kicked off in Italy. The competition started on the 8th of June and ended on the 8th of July 2018.

Italy became the second country to host the competition twice in the history of World cup. Germany emerged as winner of the tournament after defeating Argentina in a 1-0 victory while host country Italy won the third place after defeating England.
