In defending his team mates at the club level,the German midfielder Toni Kroos said in an interview that “I am quite sure that Sergio had no intention of hurting Salah,” he said in his interview for the German publication Augsburger Allgemein
“In fact, not even the referee whistled for the foul and I didn’t see anything unsportsmanlike in his action.
“He is not an aggressive player and I am proud that he is our captain at Real Madrid.”
“The World Cup motivates me a lot, otherwise I would not play it again.
“It’s still something special and we have the challenge of defending the title.”
