GUARDIOLA WAS JEALOUS OF ME - TOURE

The former Ivory Coast international, Yaya Toure has drawn his conclusion on the differences that exist between him and Pep Guardiola that it is based on jealousy and rivalry.

The Ivorian involved in Manchester City's third English Premier League title in 2017/18 campaign as a part player, having started a top flight match just once throughout the season.

The 35 year old midfielder believes the uneasy moment that existed between him and the coach who sold him out of Barcelona in 2010 resurfaced when he joined The Citizens in England.

In an interview with France Football, Toure stated that he felt that he was dealing with someone who had a strong innate desire to take revenge on him.

He also added that to him, it always seemed that Guardiola was jealous of him and saw him as a rival as most times, they always ended up with a weird look on their faces whenever they met.

He further alleged that the Man City coach manipulates and plays with one's head and reasoning, which makes some other players also to dislike him but those players will never make it publicly to avoid problem like this.
