Liberia president George Weah now 51-year-old was featured in friendly match between Nigeria and Liberia on Tuesday, a friendly match that ended up in favor of Nigeria. Weah played his professional career in Europe were he played for Paris St-Germain, Monaco, and AC Milan and in his late career had brief spells for both Manchester City and Chelsea.

Weah is the first among the three Africa players to have featured in the platform of three man shortlist of FIFA World player of the year. Weah is the only African player so far to have soon the Fifa men world best player of the year.

In the friendly yesterday, Weah started the match until he was substituted in the 79th minutes. The match was played at Monrovia, Liberia. For Nigeria Wilfred Ndidi, Peter Etebo, and Kelechi Iheanacho all were featured in the match. Goals from Simeon Nwankwo and Henry Onyekuru gave Nigeria a double lead until Liberia pull one back with a penalty taken by Kpah Sherman.
