Real Madrid prodigy young star Vinicius Junior although yet to book a starting position in Real Madrid's first team, he might now be on a brink of getting more first team starting position. Vinicius arrived Madrid this past summer transfer window and was initially transferred a a team B player. He was playing for Real Madrid's Castilla team and that provoked a hostile reaction from the players agent and some Madrid's fans.

Madrid's manager Julen Lopetegui opted to introduce the young Brazilian to first team game play in recent weeks. Vinicius as featured against Atletico Madrid in Last Liga; against CSKA Moscow in Russia for the Champions league group match; and against Atletico Bilbo in Mendizorroza. He also remain as an unused substitute in the match against Espanyol.

He was chosen on two occasions as a substitute ahead of Mariano Diaz and Lucas Vazquez. This shows that he is gradually gaining relevance and importance in the eyes of Club manager Lopetegui. Current injuries woes in the club with Gareth Bale, Marcelo and Isco means that the 18-years-old might be a bit of more playing time to prove himself.
