The second run of Sebastian Vettel in the Q2 of the Canadian Grand Prix had the rider abort the race.

Vettel, in giving his reason for aborting the race stated that he found it impossible to go past the traffic he had caught up with so he was forced to abort.

The Saturday race at Montreal saw the Ferrari driver claim pole position before progressing on from Q2 with the ultrasoft tyre.

This will see him starting off the race and be fortunate enough to run without the use of the fragile hypersoft.

And while he was trying to feel for the softest tyre before entering into the decisive Q3 session, he got behind a train of four slow cars on the long straight, thus forcing him to abandon the lap.

Vettel questioned what the drivers were doing which included the likes of Carlos Saimz, Valtteri Bottas, Kevin Magnussen and Nick Hulkenberg.

After the session, Vettel who made a comment on the incident noted that he was only looking at getting a feel of the hypersoft so as to have an idea of where they might end up.

He equally added that the four cars were just so slow and wondered what they were doing on the track with a maximum of 100kph.

Magnussen who responded to Vettel's comment noted that all the drivers tried to get out of his way as he was on a flying lap, something which made him pretty surprised.
