Douglas Costa apologises 'to Juventus fans' for spitting fit

The Brazilian has apologised to fans of his club forthcoming the unsportsmanlike behavior he put up when he spewed spit on the face of Federico De Francesco, the Sassuolo player.

The match on replay showed that Federico had actually tackled Douglas Costa roughly but it's nothing to justify spitting on his face. This was showed by the VAR and signalled immediate that Costa be sent off.

The player has taken to his social media to apologize to fans of the Bianconeri that the action was not a reflection of his person or career.

Costa will be given a three match ban at the least with it likely getting to five with the attempted head butt and elbow jabbing.

This could come as a blow to Juventus who are due to play Napoli in few weeks.
