Blackwater Elite got their 6th win

Blackwater Elite is still a new team in PBA history. They joined the PBA last 2014 and got their first win against San Miguel Beermen. Elite started playing in PBA D-League and won one championship. Today, they will try to make a PBA history.

Earlier, Blackwater Elite won against the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters and got their 6th win in PBA Governors Cup. This is their 2nd straight win after they lost to NLEX Road Warriors. Elite scored a total of 99 points while Rain or Shine has only 93 points. Michael Digregorio and John Pinto led the team with a score of 17 points and 16 points, respectively. While their import, Henry Walker, has a record of 14 points, 14 rebounds, and 12 assists. It was really John Pinto who made a big score separation on the last minute of the game when he scored outside the three-point arc.

They are on the 2nd spot alongside Barangay Ginebra. They are now one of the toughest teams in PBA right now. Obviously, they will be playing on the playoffs with the other 7 teams. This will be their 4th playoffs appearance and maybe their first semifinals or finals appearance.

Blackwater Elite will face Magnolia Hotshots on October 10 at Cuneta Astrodome. Lets see if they can still defend the 2nd spot or move down to the 4th spot with 2 losses. Can John Pinto lead the team again for their next win?
