Muelensteen : United should have gone for Giggs

The former Manchester United's coach is offered the opinion that Manchester United would have better handled the situation that was Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement.

Rene believes that the Old Trafford job should have been given to someone who knew the club onside and out. He added that Ryan Giggs would have slotted in well especially as he was already getting his coaching license.

He admitted that it was a big step up for David Moyes but that it wasn't a good fit.

Muelensteen said if it had been a coach like Mourinho, Guardiola or Henykes, it wouldn't have mattered but that United made a mistake in that still hasn't been corrected yet.
