Manchester defeats Everton to move to TOP

In the 24th week of PL, City won against Everton go to the top of the table. They were looking to win this as their chance to go forward to the top. Everton lost last time by 3-1 to Wolves.

At Goodison Park, City completely dominated the game but the goal was hard to come. Both teams failed to score in the first half. City dominated the possession and attacks, but couldnt convert the chances. Aguero and his company were left without any goals in the first half regular time. In the added minute of the first half, Laporte scored for City. It was assisted by Silva. The first half ended in 1-0 for City.

In the second half too, goals were hard to come. Aguero after a hat-trick against Arsenal didnt find the net. Jesus replaced him in the 79th minute. It was Jesus who scored the second goal and ensured the victory. City won the match by 2-0.


With the win, City is first in the table with 62 points. Liverpool is at the second with 62 points. Two teams are seperated by goal difference. City has played 1 game more than Liverpool.
