Wolves defeats Liverpool to progress to 4th round of FA cup

In the third round of FA Cup, Wolves won against Liverpool. It was a tough journey for league leader Liverpool against Wolves who are at the 9th in the table. But it might be good thing for Liverpool as they can focus on League and Champions League.

At Molineux Stadium, it was hard fought win for Wolves. Liverpool benched the big gun Salah, Mane, and Firmino for this match. An injury to Dejan Lovren means Ki-Jana Hoever him early in the match. Raul Jimenez scored a goal for Wolves to bring ahead in the 38th minute. The first half ended in 1-0 for Wolves.

Divock Origi pulled one back in the 51st minute. But the equalizer only stood for 4 minutes. Ruben Neves scored the winner in the 55th minute of the match. Liverpool bought Salah and Firmino in search of goals but failed. Shaqiri also was unlucky as his free-kick hit the bar.

With the win, Wolves moves to the fourth round of the FA Cup. The draw took place today. Wolves will play winner of Shrewsbury or Stoke. There are more FA cup fixtures tomorrow and no PL fixtures. PL will resume on next week.
