OVERVIEW OF MACHESTER UNITED VERSUS LEICESTER CITY

Here we go! We are off and running in the English Premier league new season and here is an overview of the first match between the Last season Runners up and Leicester city at Old Trafford!

Manchester united took the lead in the 15th of the first half with a penalty and was converted by Paul Pogba. The game was much tactical and both team played well in the opening 25 minutes of the game. Paul Pogba didnt perform up to expectation as Gray was dribling him and was loosing many other important tackles.

In the second half, United started pressuring the Leicester defense and broke through their midfield with Fred giving out passes to Alexis Sanchez who couldnt do decisive things with the passes gotten. In the 51st minute of the game, Amartey was given a yellow card by the referee for a slight tackle against Alexis Sanchez. As the 60th Minute, Leicester city turned the game around with Gray making a lot of moves towards scoring and the United midlfield was shatterd.

At the 63rd minute of the game, Leicester city made two changes bringing in Ghezzal for Amartey and Vardy for Maddison and united made a Change for Romelu Lukaku to come in and replace Marcus Rashford who surprisingly, was putting on Manchester United 10 Jersey.

Leicester continue to search for an equalizer and look set to get one but united were always ready for counter attack. Around the 78th minute, Alexis Sanchez set up Lukaku for one on one with the goal keeper but wasted the united chance to score the second goal.

United continued with their counter attacks anytime Leicester looses the ball on their side even though the midfield was dismantled by the Leicester team. At the 83rd Minute, Luke Shaw doubled united lead by converting Juan Matas Pass to a wonderful Goal. After this Goal, United Coach Jose Monriho Substituted Fellaini for Paul Pogba in the 85th minute. Nevertheless, Leicester players continue to search for a come back and was able to get a consolation goal from Jamie Vardy who had once missed an opportunity through united team Defensive error. Finall, The game ended in 2-1 and united are on their winning ways for their first game in the season. Even though United won the match, Leicester was still the better team.
