I had actually predicted a win in favour of Croatia prior to the commencement of the match between France and Croatia in the finals today.
Oops! My prediction didn't come true
I still celebrate with the French team on the win after 20 years they last won their first worldcup, today makes it two worldcup to their name. Awesome!

Croatia had a 2:0 win against Nigeria in their first group stage match in the 2018 worldcup. A substitution was made five minutes to the end of the match to replace a player with Nikola Kalinic.
Kalinic was angry and felt as a top player, he wasn't suppose to be benched in such a crucial game.
The coach then turned to Pjaca who then replaced the player as a substitute.
Kalinic refused to apologize despite appeals from other members of the coaching crew.
The Coach then sacked him from the team and sent him back home.
He seem to imagine the team won't advance in the worldcup tournament probably without his presence.
Fortunately, Croatia achieved their biggest football records in history and the names of the 22 players are inscribed in the hearts of the Croatians.
Croatia didn't win the worldcup but did exceedingly great at the biggest football event.
Kalinic would wished he had apologized.
Lessons Learnt
Pride kills and destroys. We should learn to control our emotions and don't let your emotions have a full control over you.
Kalinic allowed his anger to destroy his years of practice and footballing just at the heat of a record breaking event for his team.
Learn to say SORRY it is a magic word that has Peace embedded within it.

Absolutely. You nailed it brother. Sorry would have helped the situation and wouldn't affect his ego in anyway, compared to the hero status he would have gotten for this amazing run by Croatia.
France totally deserved it. I changed my mind when i saw Pogba in the tunnel and switched to France hahaha. France always absorb pressure, watch their weakness and hit their opponents when they have exerted too much pressure at first. Their strategy worked so well and those goals were amazing too. What a perfect ending to the World Cup. The best i have witnessed so far in respect to unpredictability and surprises.
