They should do practice and win a match then only they can show a good performance in England in the world cup 2019.
In the final ODI of the series against South Africa, they again lose a match and so South Africa win the ODI series with 5-0. Moreover, the South African team whitewash Sri Lanka at home. After losing a test series they have so much pressure to win the ODI series because the world cup is near and so they want a good team to take them in the world cup squad. A good start in South Africa tour with winning test matches comes to end with a one-day series loss.

In the fifth ODI when Sri Lankan opener comes to Bat they deserve a good start from them. But Fernando and Tharanga can't able to give a good start and both were out in the score of just 14 runs. Now pressure again comes to middle order batsman. However,
Yoshida Fernando and Kusal Mendis both had a 49 runs partnership which took the score to 64 and Yoshida Fernando got out at scoring 22 runs in the bowling of Imran Tahir. Later on, Kusal Mendis was run out in the 34th over of the innings.
Perera brothers who player 30 runs knock individual which help to cross 140 runs. later on, wicket start falling and not able to make a big partnership and they were all out for just 225 runs. south African batsman comes to the crease to chase the target 226. Markram 67 runs not out innings had helped to win the match as the match was disturbed by low light and had been calling out. So, with the help of DLS method south Africa beat Sri Lanka by 41 runs and give whitewash by winning the series by 5-0.

Due to the excellent form of Quinton de Kock, he appointed a man of the series. beside this great knock in final ODI Markram was appointed as a man of the match. It was the worst performance for Srilanka in South Africa. since world cup 2015, Srilanka was whitewashed five times which is highest in terms of a whitewash after world cup 2015. This means that the team is not having proper management and coordination in the team. But, it will be Very disappointment moment before the world cup.
