NBA 2k Sports release special anniversary edition with Lebron James gracing its Cover

2K Sports are looking to release a special 20th Anniversary Edition of the NBA 2K19 as they celebrate 20 years since the maiden edition of the NBA 2K series.

The special release will see LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers on the front cover as the cover athlete. With a price tag of $100, this anniversary edition will go on sale from September 7th, while the standard edition is expected to be released four days later.

In a statement released recently, LeBron noted that it was quite a humbling feat to be on the 20th anniversary cover of the game's magazine.

He also added that being a game he had loved and played since he was a little kid, he was quite thankful that he could be a part if such a special time in the history of 2K Sports and he would want for fans to see the magazine.

On the cover, there are variety of phrases and words associated with the player that has been featured. Some include, "The Chosen One", "Equality", "Strive for Greatness", "I Promise", "G.O.A.T" and a few others.

This will be the second time James will be appearing on the NBA 2K's cover, the first being on the NBA 2K14 while he was still with Miami Heat.
