Messi Excludes himself from International Duties

Barcelona ace Lionel Messi appears to limit his number playing time since the turn of this new season. The Argentine forward had a disappointing world cup outing this year after his country were knocked out in the first knockout stage of the tournament.

So far he has restricted his playing time to Club duties having not taken part on recent international duties with his country. As we head into international break, Argentina are scheduled to play Iraq and Brazil. Avoiding this schedules facials the Barcelona captain to have enough rest before resumption of Club duties. So far this season the Argentine has played virtually all matches for Barcelona but was used as substitute on two occasions.
