Eden Hazard is off to Real Madrid after several years with Chelsea. Personally, I was pained because he was close to signing for Manchester United back then before he headed off to Chelsea; where he has carved a name for himself and proved how good he can be. That sensational player from Losc Lille has written his own name in Chelsea's history and he can never be forgotten all of a sudden.
Eden Hazard dazzled and scored so many important goals while laying tremendous number of assists too. He came to prove a point and he did and with his wealth of experience, he is a real bargain for Real Madrid at 130 Million Pounds (with add ons). Even though I know the Bernabeu crowd could be hard to please and sometimes unforgiving, I know his impact would be felt by the Madrid faithfuls who have been trying so hard never to have a repeat of the just concluded season.
Even though I still believe Eden Hazard can never replace Ronaldo's role with Madrid, but he will give them that fear factor and threat again which has been the hall mark of Real Madrid's attack. Eden Hazard has never been the type of player to score more goals. I think the highest he has gotten in a season was 21 goals with assists too. Madrid knows Benzema and any striker they add to their ranks would benefit a lot from the services of Hazard and this is why I feel they should a clinical striker and reduce the dependence on Karim Benzema. As good as Benzema is, he sometimes have his off days like most strikers and age is also not on his side.
