Six Wins On The Trot
Manchester United brought back the fluid attacking play with resilient defending and swift counter-attacking football against Tottenham. This is the kind of play that defined Ferguson’s era; they knew how to grind out the result and that is exactly what these lads did and I am impressed, considering where they were coming from.
David De Gea proved his worth again and Lindelof reinvented himself and what a player he is right now for us. The sweet pass from Pogba was the icing and the delightful finish from Rashford was the real deal. What a day to be a Manchester United fan.
We didn’t play exceptionally well, yes, but we did what was needed on Tottenham’s home turf and we nicked it. The 3 points is valuable because Arsenal lost by 1 goal to West Ham. I am really impressed with the new manager who managed to win 6 games in a row; which has never happened with any Manchester United manager before now, even the impressive Ferguson.
Tottenham had several opportunities to nick a draw but De Gea kept us in the game and I thank God for a wonderful goalkeeper like him. He saves with his feet and his hands and for me; he deserves to be named the Man of the Match. We didn’t play fantastic football but we did enough to get the win, right on Spurs turf.
