Lloris given 20 months driving ban

The Tottenham shot-stopper has been handed a 20-month driving ban and €50,000 fine after admitting to drunk driving.

The France international had been caught drunk well above the limits allowed in England.

On August 24th, the Tottenham goalkeeper was stopped after he was seen to be driving at 15mph on a 30mph zone and was going to run into a group of parked vehicles.

The goalkeeper had done a breath tested which revealed he had 80 microgrammes of alcohol when the limit in England was 35.

Henry Fitch, the prosecutor described that Lloris was well above the allowed limits and that vomit was found in the car and that the player had to be helped away from his car.

Lloris had told his legal representative to that he was aware he wasn't supposed to be driving and he should have taken a cab but he was drunk and made the wrong choice.

Lloris has played for Tottenham since 2012. He has players about 250 matches and captained France to World Cup glory. He has about 104 caps for France.
