Mancini says Italy not outplayed
The boss of the Italian national side claims that his stooges weren't outplayed by a Portugal side without the world best player.
Throughout the game, Portugal hardly had to do much to defeat an Italian side that had nine changes from the last game.
The game was sealed in the forty eight minute when Andre Silva got one into the net of the Italians.
Rui Patricio was hardly called upon as Italy put on what many would see as a lacklustre performance.
Mancini made several changes to the side that drew blank with Poland in their maiden game of the competition.
Although Italy lost the game, the coach, Mancini said he was pleased with the overall performance of his side. He revealed that by the next game, they will be better prepared. He said there are some players he would love to play but they aren't many and someone injured.
Italy sits bottom of the table with only one point from the two games. Portugal having won their two games are clear favourites.
Mancini said the focus is to qualify for the European Cup in 2020.
